Larry Discenza | Singer
Larry has been working in the health and fitness industry for 15 years. After a long break from music, he decided to explore the arts again. He enlisted the help of musician/singing coach Sofia Juan. They have been working together in DanceAction and collaborating separately for over six years now. Larry performed in "Game Night" in Brooklyn, NY, and Mexico City during Mexico's first-ever International Contemporary Dance Festival (FIDCDMX). Larry has thoroughly enjoyed working back into the performing arts. He is the founder of Inspired Training, a private and group training business in Manhattan. Inspired Training has been a crucial sponsor of DanceAction over the last few years and is beginning to integrate dance movement and Training principles into the core of its business. Larry recently opened "Phit Well" in partnership with physical therapist Kim Caspare, an Orthopedic Wellness Center integrating physical therapy, Athletic Training, and Personal Training.
Sofia Juan | Singer
Sofia was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Sofia is a singer, songwriter, actress, and performer. With an eclectic background in Latin music, Jazz,
Tango, and Musical Theater, Sofia has been singing all her life. She has recorded, performed, and collaborated on several projects with different groups and renowned musicians. Her unique and versatile voice afforded her the opportunity of touring through Europe and the Americas. In 2009 she founded Amapola Dry, an electro-tango down-tempo project, with multi-awarded producer Martin Fuks. Sofia has worked for different organizations in New York City as a teaching artist, including Casita Maria, Arts Connection, and Teatro Sea. She is currently running her Performing Arts Education Program for children called SHOW KIDS! Sofia studied music as a voice major at EMBA – Escuela de Música de Buenos Aires. Rosario Cáceres | Design and Graphic Arts Director
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Rosario has the knowledge and skillset developed at the University of Buenos Aires, one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in Latin America. In addition, her experience as a freelance designer for over six years has given her the ability to provide DanceAction with the visual and graphic tools necessary to promote the company’s mission.
