Shizu Higa
Shizu (she/they) is an Okinawan-Japanese American born in Tokyo and grew up in the Bay Area as a new-generation immigrant. While attaining a Cognitive Neuroscience (B.S.) and Sociology (M.A.) degree from Stanford University, she worked with Alex Ketley and Katie Faulkner. Shizu now moves as a freelance dancer based in NY and hopes to collaborate with other artists, equally excited to imagine a more beautiful reality that embraces multi-hyphenate identities.
